It is a privilege and honour to be asked to be Captain of the Midlands Division of the Scottish Seniors Womens Golfing Association and I look forward to meeting as many of the members as I can throughout the next couple of years at our competitions and matches.
The Association has just celebrated its 75th Anniversary and continues to grow from strength to strength. In that time there have been many changes and the most recent was to change the name from senior veterans to senior womens which was felt to be much more in keeping with current times.
We have also embraced new media technology. This is a new website and is still work in progress. It will be taking over from the 'blog' that we have used previously. The blog won't completely disappear, but will be archived in due course. We hope you will take the time to explore the new site and if there is anything that you would particularly like to see or find useful please let us know.
We also have a Facebook page which can be found at SSWGA-MidlandDivision. It is a private members site and is used for updates, news and member interaction.

A warm welcome to new and existing members of the Midland Division of the SSWGA.
It is the SSWGA's 75th Anniversary this year and the Association continues to go from strength to strength. We currently have over 120 members who actively take part in our Opens, Championships and matches. I hope to be able to meet as many of you as I can at our Opens or Matches.
